Larger groups reserving for the dining room at St. JOHN are offered a choice of dishes from our seasonal feasting menus.

For tables of ten and above we’ll guide you through the process of ordering one or two dishes per course from the selection below which are brought to your table on large dishes for all to share.

This approach to feasting means that we can minimise the wait for your courses to reach you and also avoids delays for other diners as large groups are catered for.

More over though, the feasting approach we feel enhances the sense of occasion that brings a large group of people together around one table.

The menus change with the seasons and our reservations staff will guide you through the dishes available. If you have something specific in mind, perhaps something you have enjoyed from our al a carte menu or a menu around a seasonal theme, we’re happy to discuss a bespoke set menu with you.

Menus are charged per head, the minimum charge per person is £30.00, though the price of menus varies depending on the dishes requested including side dishes of green vegetables and potatoes. Vegetarian diners will be charged the minimum price per head for three courses.

Cancellations may incur a charge depending on the notice given. If food has been pre-ordered at the point of cancelling your card may be charged for the total value of goods ordered. We understand that in certain circumstances cancelling is necessary and take each on merit. With regard to parties arriving with less guests than booked for - should your numbers drop without prior notice to the restaurant you will be charged at the menu price per head for each missing guest above three absent guests.

The Main Courses

Whole Roast Suckling Pig
feeds 14-16 guests. One week’s notice needed to guarantee availability. Each pig costs £360.00 and orders for pigs are not processed until we have received an advanced payment for that amount, which will then be deducted from the final bill. Please note that we cannot offer a refund for the advanced payment towards the final bill and we do not offer the Suckling Pig on Sundays
