CHRISTMAS PUDDINGS and MINCE PIES



Our Christmas Puddings and Mince Pies will go on sale at both restaurants from December 1st 2008. Order forms can be picked up from the bakery counters at either St. John or St. John Bread and Wine with last collection for orders no later than December 23rd by 4.00 pm.

Puddings are available in the following sizes:
  • Puddings for 2 £10.00
  • Puddings for 4-6 £17.00
  • Puddings for 6-8 £19.50
  • Puddings for 8-12 £26.50
Mince Pies are £1.80 each or by the dozen at £20.00.

Unfortunately we are not able to take orders for Puddings or Pies over the phone or via email, only in person and payment is desired upon ordering.

CHRISTMAS FEASTING at St. JOHN



Christmas Feasting menus run from December 1st 2008 until we close for the Christmas holidays following lunch on December 23rd.

This year we are offering five menus, all structured around a central beast or fish. The idea is that you circulate the menu options among your group of diners and select the menu that suits all tastes, we'll cater for vegetarians separately.

When you have decided on the date for your lunch or supper, call us on 020 7251 0848 to make your booking being sure to have your credit or debit card to hand - we won't enter any booking details in to our system without them.
Alternatively, if you have already booked the table but need to confirm the menu details you can email us your menu choice to reservations@stjohnrestaurant.com. Be sure to include all the booking details including a daytime contact number.

To compliment each of the menus, Neil Irvine of HG Wines has kindly put together a list of wines at a range of prices to assist diners in ordering wine choices at the same time as ordering their menus.

Debit or credit card details are held password secure on our system and are automatically deleted from our records 48 hours after your reservation date has passed.

We also have a private dining room for up to 18 guests: if you are in the main dining room we may not be able to guarantee seating your entire group on one table and often split larger groups over two tables though we do endeavour to ensure that tables are sat in close proximity to one another.

The bar and dining room at St. John are not decorated for Christmas and we discourage festive paraphernalia from tables.

*for both these menus we require 7 working days notice. For all other menus a minimum of 5 working days notice is required to ensure availability. In all cases the price quoted includes side orders.

Should your first choice of dish be unavailable we will make every effort to inform you and will offer a suitable alternative.

Please note that the latest we will accept group bookings for lunch is 2.30 pm and the time you book your table for is the time we expect your group to take their table so if you wish to meet for pre-lunch drinks do arrange to do so ahead of your booked time in the dining room.

Lunch service in the dining room finishes at 5.00 pm and your party will be asked to vacate the table at this time, we do have a bar area which we are more than happy for groups to retire to though we do not book tables in the bar and cannot guarantee space for your group. The last supper reservation is at 10.00 pm and the dining room is vacated at 12.30 am at the latest.
